| In December 2007, Kenya had a national election that ended in violent dispute. Over 1,000 people were killed and 300,000 people left homeless. These IDPs (Internally-Displaced Persons) were in dire need. In February 2008, DePaul students and staff assisted them. We began with prayer in Holy Cross Church; we then listened to their stories in small group. At the end, students and staff helped assist the IDPs with material goods, such as food and clothing. |
